With over 32 years of oil and gas industry experience, John brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.
Originally trained as a construction industry electrician, John joined the civil service and retrained as a multi-discipline designer of engineering modifications in both passive and active government and military establishments. A move to the Wood Group in 1983 saw him rise through the ranks to become UK head of project management with functional responsibility for over 200 project engineers across the UK.
John's reputation for delivery precedes his arrival in this senior role at Step Change Engineering having overseen some unique, complex and high-profile projects within Wood Group, including MCP01 de-manning and the Brent Spar disposal solution study. His national asset responsibilities also included the St Fergus, Sullom Voe, CATS and Wytch Farm COMAH sites.
His inherent ability to communicate at all levels is coupled with a continuous focus on delivery improvement, a talent which serves clients well in this demanding and high-performance environment.
